Still Goes to Starbucks

A Writing Meetup Story

On a rainy Saturday afternoon, a dozen writers gathered at the downtown Starbucks on Pike Street. Each one opened their laptop, and every screen showed the same thing: Still.

What started as a casual tweet turned into our first official Still Writing Meetup. Writers from across the city came together, ordered their favorite drinks, and spent three hours in focused silence—broken only by the sound of keystrokes and the barista calling out names. The ambient café background in Still blended so perfectly with the real café that some writers forgot they were wearing headphones.

By the end of the afternoon, one writer had finished a short story, two others outlined their novels, and a genuine sense of community had formed. “It felt like a modern-day salon,” said Emma, a regular who's been using Still since launch. “Just people, their thoughts, and really good coffee.”

We've since held monthly Starbucks meetups in six cities. If you'd like to host one in your area, let us know. We'll send you a Still starter kit and help spread the word.
