What Is the Trade Shelf?
Imagine a record store where every album is a piece of writing someone wants to share. That is the Trade Shelf. It is a rotating gallery of community writings, displayed like vinyl on a shelf. No likes, no comments, no follower counts — just words, waiting to be discovered.
How It Works
For readers: Visit the Trade Shelf from the homepage. Browse the rotating shelf, click on anything that catches your eye, and read it right in the browser. No account required.
For writers: In your workspace, open any document and toggle "For Trade" in the document menu. Your writing will appear on the Trade Shelf for others to discover. You can unlist it at any time.
Why "Trade"?
The name comes from the idea that writing is a gift — something you offer to the world without expectation. There is no money, no algorithm, no clout-chasing. Just writers and readers, exchanging something real.
